Field Services Test Technician with significant electrical experience. The basic requirements are as follows: High School diploma or equivalent (AS degree or vocational school preferred), extensive technical knowledge and the skills required to perform field testing and maintenance, installation, trouble shooting and repair of the following distribution equipment (480V to 15 kV): circuit breakers; transformers; protective relays; switchgear, motor controls and associated substation apparatus, as well as a minimum of five years’ experience in the power systems industry. The successful candidate must also possess the necessary skills to perform DC/AC hipotential testing, power factor testing, time motion analysis, turns ratio and/or protective relay testing as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate. Construction experience, or journeymen industrial electrician license are a plus for position.
Protective Relay Field Test Technician. Must be able to calibrate and perform functional tests on both electromechanical and micro-processor based protective relays for high voltage substations. You also need to be capable of trouble shooting distribution and transmission equipment. Need experience installing & testing the following equipment: transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, CCVT, ABS, RTU, & protective relay systems. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience working with a UTILITY as a Relay Test Technician or Relay Test Engineer.
